Project Grumen
Why "Grumen"?
Because the word itself refers to a piece or fragment of something, and in this case, it evokes the image of a piece of earth that served as inspiration and guide in shaping the clay into the form of a vase.
For the dimensions, I based them on the size of my cupped hands, essentially how much fits in them. Therefore, we're talking about small vases or miniatures that have both practical and decorative value, as they function independently with a purely aesthetic purpose.
Each piece is hand-shaped and unique.
Regarding the choice of clay, I selected warm, earthy tones of terracotta, and a soft lilac-yellow.
Given the size of the vases, they are designed to hold a single flower or a branch/grass stem. They are not meant nor intended for large (or commercial) bouquets, but rather for a small piece of nature that you can gather during a walk and carry with you.
